In her diary entry dated Tuesday 7, March, 1944, Anne reflects on how different her life was a year and a half ago. Not only does she discuss her living arrangements but also how she has changed and matured in that year and a half. A year and a half a go your were in middle school, seventh grade. Reflect on what changes have occurred in your life since then. How have you changed?

How hungry would you have to be to eat food you really did not like or that did not contain ingredients that make it taste palatable? Anne's family has lost its ration coupons for "fat." What would your normal diet taste like if there was not oil or butter? Make a list of all the foods you eat on a regular basis that include oil and/or butter. Next to each item write what that food would taste like without it.
